What is Hoop Dance?
Hooping is not just for children, but an exciting dance form, which has amazing benefits for the body, mind and spirit. Hooping is suitable for people of all ages and ability levels and has developed as a hobby, form of fitness or an alternative form of dance.
Hoop dancing has become one of the hottest trends across the globe and is a growing cultural movement for people who are making a conscious choice to bring more vitality and joy into their lives!
Hoop dancers use weighted adult sized that are often covered in friction tape to help the hoop stick to the hips. The hoops are typically between 38" and 42" in diameter, which helps to slow the momentum of the hoop as it gracefully whirls around your body.
By choosing to dance with the hoop you re creating a new journey of discovery and self-expression.
Benefits of Hoop Dance
The benefits of hooping are unlimited because it provides so many good things for the mind and body.
In particular it builds core strength, stamina and balance for the body as well as providing an aerobic workout and opportunity to sculpt thighs, arms and buttocks!
